One of the most important aspects of any Authors work, is to get a second opinion. At times, we can become word blind, or so engrossed that we totally miss something important. But being indie authors means expenditure on editing etc needs to be taken wisely, and so it often helps us to have a fresh set of eyes run over it to catch any major issues, give us a reader’s perspective.
Who we are looking for are those of you who are able to see past your favourite author and constructively give your opinion. This is not like reviewing. Authors have different ways in which they use Beta readers, and you’d need to work within those parameters.
Any author within the collective can request you to beta read for them. You do not have to accept. This is an opportunity to be part of the process you love so much, not an opportunity to get a free book. You will often be asked to read incomplete books, or books that might change drastically upon actual publication.

Not everybody will be successful. Please don’t take that personally, we are limiting numbers at present until we understand what works and doesn’t work for the collective.

At the S.A.C we are collating a small group of fans to go out into the social media world and spread the love.
Hit up the Facebook groups and throw our names and books into the “I’m looking for a book about…” etc. Make a Tik Tok video telling the world why they need to read our books. Just generally talk about all the things you love about us.
When any S.A.C new release is announced, shout it out. We will email you with the details. All you have to do is put it out there!
In return, you’ll get to be part of something exciting. The opportunity to get Zoom calls from an author, free books, audio codes, competitions that only the Street team can access, and of course, the love of your favourite authors.

Audio Team
As with book ARCs, audio listeners are just as important to those of us who are able to create Audiobooks. As such, we would love to put together a small, but trusted team, who would be willing to listen through an audio file version of the book before it’s released or immediately after, and review.
Most often, it’s the audiobook that lags behind with reviews and the book gets lost quite quickly in the audio charts. Having a group of interested people who are willing to jump on board, would be a real help to the author.
